Members of the ERISA Compliance Department perform nondiscrimination testing for qualified plans. We make sure that the Plan is operating in accordance with DOL and IRS rules and regulations. We also make sure that the Plan is operating in accordance with the Plan's legal document. In addition the group works very closely with the Plan’s independent auditor so that financial reports can be prepared for the client. Preparation of the 5500 along with required schedules are also completed and filed with the EBSA. We also provide assistance to other departments on qualified plan matters and assist in any corrections as needed.
What you’ll do:
This individual is responsible for performing allocations and nondiscrimination testing and managing all aspects of an assigned defined contribution caseload including:
Written and verbal communication with client and the client’s advisors.
Completion of nondiscrimination testing such as ADP and ACP tests.
Perform allocations and mid-year projections for clients.
Test all limits for the plan such as 415 limit, 402(g) limit and plan limits
Review the Plan Document and make sure calculations are in compliance with the plan document.
Prepare the Form 5500 for the Plan.
What you have:
- This position requires direct experience in the qualified retirement plan industry, 2+ years expected, with significant direct experience in providing ERISA Compliance testing and reporting services. The candidate must have a strong commitment to the highest level of client service, strong problem solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft excel, and the ability to meet stringent deadlines. Position requires thorough knowledge of the IRS & DOL Code and Regulations. Experience with FT Williams and the ASC testing system are helpful. QKA designation preferred.
