Our Opportunity:

A business-to-business enterprise, Schwab Advisor Services is the leading provider of custodial, operational, trading and technical support for independent registered investment advisors (RIAs) across the United States. In addition to custody services, Schwab Advisor Services provides practice management and consultative support to help independent advisors start, build and grow their firms. We passionately support more independent advisors with more assets under management than anyone in the industry, making us the leading custodian for RIAs nationwide.

The Manager, Advisor Services Marketing will primarily focus on furthering our practice management and consultative support by increasing awareness and adoption of our Business Consulting and Education (BCE) solutions for advisors through multi-channel campaigns, content development and channel execution. This role will report to the Managing Director of BCE Marketing.

You’ll be a part of a collaborative, consultative team responsible for delivering creative, high- touch consulting and education programs through all of our marketing channels and content that help advisors attain new levels of success and growth. This role provides exposure to many business partners within consulting and sales, supporting many of the key engagements and programs that BCE develops on behalf of advisors.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as a marketing consultant and expert, helping to prioritize objectives and identify the right strategy and tactics to support BCE business goals

  • Effectively navigate across the organization to develop and execute integrated marketing plans, collaborating with business partners, public relations, social media, sales and relationship management teams, events, and other key marketing channel teams

  • Develop a range of marketing and educational content to support initiatives, including emails, marketing collateral, white papers, videos, website banners and content, and client presentations

  • Keep track of deliverables and progress across a project plan to effectively manage work, often with tight deadlines in support of defined business initiatives

  • Drive the creative development process from beginning to end (e.g. author assignment briefs, manage the creative agency, work with internal business partners and legal/compliance, and manage production and schedule)

  • Oversee communications look and feel, keeping in mind the overall client experience in terms of voice, content, style, quality, brand and frequency of contacts to clients

What you have:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in agency services, financial services or consulting services; understanding of the Registered Investment Advisor business preferred

  • History of executing successful multi-channel promotional programs, ideally related to financial services and/or consulting services

  • Strong knowledge of marketing best practices, strategies and channels

  • Strong client focus and ability to think in terms of the client experience / perspective

  • Recognized ability to build strong personal relationships and trust across business lines, with ability to influence both in-person and over the phone.

  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects with varied timelines; well versed at connecting strategic objectives to tactical implementation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including marketing/creative, copywriting, editing, proofing

  • Strong influencer; self-motivated with solid judgment and comfortable in voicing a point of view
