Employee Communications is a centralized function with the Corporate Communications group that:
Delivers business results by driving active employee engagement and alignment with Schwab’s purpose and strategy.

We counsel, coach and support leaders and business partners firm-wide. Our responsibilities include: developing consistent, company-wide communications aligned with our purpose and employee commitment; advancing business objectives through communications that improve organizational effectiveness and enhance employee alignment with operating priorities; and effectively support corporate change initiatives.
The Digital Channels & Media team manages, designs and develops SharePoint 2010 intranet websites to support all of Schwab’s key businesses, internal digital video and animation content in support of executive and employee communications, and the design and development of online gamification to support employee engagement and business literacy.
What you’ll do:
The Senior Web/Digital Media Developer will possess the ability to conceptualize, design, build, deploy and maintain large-scale, multi-page, interactive websites and database-driven applications. As well as produce other digital products and services including: video production and post-production, infographics, online newsletter templates, e-mail templates, and more to facilitate corporate communications. Ideal candidate will possess proven design and technical advisory skills and have demonstrated project management of multiple, simultaneous digital channels and media projects and their stages, including business partner or executive coaching and consultation, requirements gathering, content strategy, project status communications, timeline and deliverables management. He/she will have an understanding of the principles and application of brand standards to digital channels and media and have a demonstrated ability to write and produce technical documentation on digital content production processes, procedures and workflow.
What you have:
Demonstrated understanding of usability and human-user interaction principles and their application to website development, information architecture and content management across multiple web browsers and devices.
Advanced skills in the creation, production and post-production editing of digital video and animation and functional knowledge of internal streaming media within an enterprise. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro and Adobe After-Effects preferred.
Demonstrated graphic design and editorial illustration production abilities as it applies to web user-interface design and visual communications and advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
An outstanding combination of collaboration and creative technical skills. Taking responsibility for delivering successful project outcomes and counsel to business partners and the Employee Communications team. Listening to and understanding what matters to our business partners, while positively influencing outcomes by constructively advancing organizational points of view.
