The Content Marketing program and Trading Insights content experience are a significant part of the overall prospect marketing plan for Trading Services. They help build credibility for Schwab as a better place for traders and play an important role in the shoppers’ journey - driving brand consideration, awareness and even new accounts.

What you’ll do:

The Senior Content Marketing Manager will play an integral role in providing end-to-end management of Schwab's content marketing in support of its Trading Services business segment. The Senior Manager will maintain the current Trading Insights editorial experience as well as continue to evolve the strategy to incorporate new and innovative tactics. The Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with Schwab partners to develop new and repurpose existing content and distribute it in both established and emerging channels as well as analyze and report out on reach and engagement of content strategies.

The Senior Manager will act as an individual contributor and report into the Sr. Team Manager of Content Marketing for Trading Services.

Core responsibilities

  • Assisting with developing strategies and executing tactics to increase awareness of trading-related content through distribution in digitally owned channels plus search (organic/paid), social media, partnerships, and more.

  • Working with business, marketing, and legal/compliance partners to evaluate content for distribution suitability, and implement on an ongoing basis;

  • Working with agency partners and internal subject matter experts in content ideation and creation for both prospect and client segments;

  • Maximizing distribution efficiency by leveraging existing content distribution and syndication methods plus identifying new opportunities;

  • Maintaining consistency of Schwab’s trading content messaging throughout our owned and social channels;

  • Measuring and analyzing the reach and engagement of content strategies, identifying opportunities and making recommendations for changes;

  • Reporting on strategy progress and socializing results with partners and senior leadership;

  • Partner with SEO team & agency partners to develop and maintain best practices program for creating new content and optimizing existing;

  • Further development of both internal & 3 rd party Influencer strategy

  • Compiling monthly competitive reports to ensure that STS is ahead of the curve and employing best practices in content marketing tactics;

  • Manage and host monthly content planning meetings with internal business partners

What you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of marketing experience, including experience managing creative agencies

  • Demonstrated prior experience developing content marketing strategies, including both content creation and distribution approaches

  • A reputation as a high performer with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation

  • Solutions-oriented approach with an ability to think creatively and a passion for taking on new challenges

  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence and motivate people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions.

  • Excellent marketing program management skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful execution

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to evangelize vision and strategies to cross-functional teams and senior level decision makers

  • Sound judgment, planning, project management and organization skills, with a proven track record of delivering programs on time and within budget.

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Solid knowledge of investment products and investing fundamentals

  • Financial services experience

  • Previous experience developing, executing and measuring integrated campaigns across multiple channels

  • Content Management System Experience
