The Schwab CyberSecurity Services (SCS) organization is a centralized Center of Excellence (COE) that provides security services to advance Schwab’s security posture and enhance the protection of Schwab’s critical assets.
The Security Governance and Issue Management (SGIM) team within SCS supports Schwab’s commitment to safeguarding information and computing resources through the establishment of governance and programs, and the management of technology issue remediation.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Security Issue Management, the IT Security Analyst PM will provide issue management services for multiple remediation efforts to the STS organization so as to minimize risk in Schwab’s technical environments. The candidate will ensure IT Security issues are addressed successfully and on schedule while providing a good customer experience.
This work does not involve managing the details of projects; it involves providing oversight to many projects and smaller initiatives to ensure their on-time delivery.
What you have:
Analyze IT security issues within the environment and provide recommendations for addressing the root cause of issues.
Analyze identified IT security issues and identify trends and growing areas of risk in the environment.
Participate in CyberSecurity related projects and strategic initiatives.
Work with issue owners to capture remediation plan details including key milestones, metrics, and deliverables.
Understand details of issues and advise if proposed remediation efforts will address the risk.
Track remediation progress and ensure status updates are current.
Perform remediation health assessments and escalate health issues, as needed.
Capture, validate and present closure evidence to auditors, regulators and Governance Boards for review and approval.
Prepare clear and accurate issue management metrics and reports that are informational, actionable, and appropriate for the audience.
Analyze issue management data and workflow to identify process bottlenecks, data integrity issues and data cleanup needs.
Update Archer eGRC, as necessary, to properly reflect issue management status.
