Our Opportunity:

The SCCM Engineer will assist the Managing Director of Security Vulnerability Remediation in day-to-day operations to ensure the health and support of SCCM and various tools used to meet the requirements of the Schwab’s Information Security Policy and Standards such as vulnerability identification, analysis, remediation, mitigation and reporting.

What you’ll do:

  • Support System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  • Daily care and feeding of SCCM Current Branch environment

  • Ensure SCCM environment is up to date with latest patch levels

  • Provide training for SCCM administrators

  • Assist patch team with troubleshooting of SCCM console and agents

  • Plan, configure, and maintain Desired Configuration Management in SCCM 2012 to support Secure Configuration Management for OS and applications.

  • Manage SCCM role-based access in accordance with Schwab’s Security Policies

  • Run audit reports and create custom reports in SCCM related to patching, inventory, software deployment and desired configuration management

  • Plan, configure, and maintain Ivanti Patch Manager SCCM plugin for deploying third party update

  • Plan, configure and maintain WSUS for SCCM

  • Packages all low, medium, and high complexity application

  • Technical and thought leader for Integration standards and process around server packaging

  • Create, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedure and knowledge base documentation for software deployment, imaging, patching, and desired configuration management as it pertains to SCCM

  • Assists with any ad hoc reporting or audit findings when required

  • Using Microsoft Diagnostic tools to collect performance related data and analyzing them for issue and scope of improvement

  • Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation

  • Work closely with the remediation team to help drive vulnerability remediation utilizing SCCM and Qualys data.

  • Assist remediation team in identifying and remediating false positives, failed patch installs, and missing service packs or updates for both OS and applications such as .net, MS Office, Adobe, Java, etc.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS preferred) or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in technology infrastructure

  • 5+ years SCCM administration experience

  • 3+ years SCCM Engineering Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience with Powershell

  • 3+ years vulnerability/patching experience

  • Knowledge of elements of information technology stack ( i.e. network, operating system, sub-system, display/application) and inter-relationships between the various functional components

  • Experience in overseeing the implementation, maintenance and compliance with government/industry information security regulations/frameworks (SOX, FDIC, FFIEC, NIST, and ISO)

  • Self-motivated

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment or alone.

  • Manage multiple priorities, requests and tasks with minimal supervision

  • Strategy and Analysis

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
