Client Tax Reporting (CTR) is a part of the Custody & Asset Services division of Operational Services. We are dedicated to leading a culture that delivers timely and accurate tax reporting in our efforts to create a premier client experience, while providing a controlled and disciplined environment that allows our employees to feel valued and engaged. Client Tax Reporting is under the Shared Support Services umbrella.
What you’ll do:
The Managing Director will lead a team responsible for providing accurate and timely tax reporting services to all Schwab US residents including applicable state and federal filings. Specific responsibilities include:
Implementation of IRS regulations; generation of business requirements and end-to-end testing for tax changes; production of tax forms and letters; reconciliation and remittance of tax withholding to appropriate agencies.
Communicate frequently with the IRS, state regulatory agencies, customers, etc.
Partner with Client Reporting Technology and Quality Assurance to implement business requirements in applications they support for reporting income to appropriate US or foreign jurisdictions.
Work closely with business partners, including Information Reporting and Policy & Compliance to ensure Schwab meets all client regulatory reporting functions.
Champion and engage your team and business partners in the Operations 2.0 Strategy.
What you have:
5+ years’ management experience
Strong communication, influencing and relationship skills, including experience working with all levels of management
Ability to convey confidence in employees’ ability to be successful, especially with challenging new tasks; delegating responsibility and authority; allowing employees freedom to decide how they will accomplish their goals and resolve issues.
Ability to gain support for ideas, proposals, projects and solutions.

Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside of the organization who can provide information, assistance and support.
Knowledge and understanding of Tax Reporting & Escheatment or proven ability to quickly develop in-depth knowledge and technical skills.
Exceptional time management, organization and prioritization skills
Ability to meet intensive deadlines
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience competencies
