As a Senior Business Systems Analyst you will analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. You will provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that meet user requirements.
Advice Technology is a part of the Schwab Technology Services organization, supporting the Investor Services business. Our team delivers and supports Advice applications and products used by Schwab Representatives and our Clients as they plan for their financial futures and wealth management.
What you’ll do:
Analyzing business opportunities and leading solution design alternatives
Understand and Support the daily trading operations from IT perspective
Understand and Document the current state of platform and processes
Coordinate with various IT support teams to handle Production Support Activities
Act as a Product Owner for the Agile teams, developing, prioritizing user stories and product backlog.
Capitalizing on the benefits of new technologies for business process improvement
Fostering best practices and direct and govern all technical deliverables including designs and system management documents among others
Serve as coach and mentor to less experienced IT personnel
Co-ordinate within and across IT, and other line of business teams as needed throughout the course of design/delivery/support
Act as customer liaison
Never stop learning and be recognized as a thought leader in all facets of Windhaven and Thomas Partners
Conducting task analysis and interacting with system users in order to identify chances for the improvement of productivity, integration, and to decrease costs.
Maintaining a professional cognizance of techniques and tools that may use in the improvement of quality of service.
Assisting business units in the preparation of business process mapping and departmental procedures.
Understanding business requirements and translating them into specific software requirements
Understanding both technical designs and specifications
Analyzing and documenting the required data and information
Evaluating information harvested through stakeholder interviews, task analysis, and business process description
Having strong technical skills, business intelligence, and a full understanding of the needs of the customer
Being able to effectively communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver GUI, interface and screen designs
Being an interface between technology teams, support teams, and business units
What you have:
8+ years of experience in enterprise IT
Ability to pick up complex concepts and processes quickly
Passion for streamlining and integrating business processes and data
Ability to lead and manage client engagements in various disciplines and across all phases of the SDLC
Experience in working under pressure and tight deadlines and being flexible to adapt to quickly changing business requirements
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, Jira and Confluence
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to prepare written reports and conduct oral presentations as well as communicate accurately, effectively and persuasively
Ability to apply critical thinking and be creative and show initiative in problem solving, decision making and process improvement
Ability to coordinate/aggressively follow up on incidents/problems, perform diagnosis, and provide resolution to minimize service interruption
Sound knowledge of documentation procedures, programming procedures and methods, operator instructions, and program flow charts.
Ability to work with diverse group of professionals in close cooperation.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or institution.
Experience in programming and systems analysis related activities.
Having prior merger systems integration project experience
Excellent proficiency in working with data
Strong SQL experience and familiarity with data warehouse tables and a basic understanding of data warehouse concepts
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze and provide technical recommendations for: application integration, architecture and performance optimization
