What you’ll do:
DUTIES: Build and support mission critical applications for the Charles Schwab Investment Management Inc. (CSIM) mutual fund and ETF businesses, from Front Office (Portfolio Management and trading) to back office (reconciliation and cash management) platforms. Be a key point of contact between Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM) Technology and the CSIM business partners to build and implement technology solutions. Provide support for existing CSIM systems and internal user and platform issues. Evaluate and identify solutions to enable business agility within the context of a regulated environment. Ensure project development efforts are aligned with CSIM’s long-term technology strategy and executed to budget and plan. Research new technologies that will enhance current system capabilities enabling scale, robustness and business value.
What you have:
Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in job offered or a related occupation. Experience can be gained prior to, concurrently with, or after the Master’s degree. Alternately, will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:
1 year of experience with Investment Management or Financial Services background;
2 years of experience with Software Development methodologies: Object oriented programming, Multi-tier application development, and Agile;
1 year of experience with Software Development toolsets: TFS, Visual Studio, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket;
1 year of experience with Messaging technologies: SQL Message Broker, IBM MQ, , Rest, and Web Services; and
1 year of experience with Software Testing practical knowledge of automated dependency injection, unit testing, and building test automation.
