Our Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced configuration and release engineer who is passionate about managing software on the desktop. This engineer will support a wide range of responsibilities from build and deployment processes, production monitoring and support, reporting and desktop software currency. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a comparable position, demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, multi-concurrent project environment and capable of working across and within a large enterprise.

What you’ll do:

Manage risk and resolve issues to the desktop environment and deployment schedules

Measure and monitor progress to ensure software deployments are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations

Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations, internal and external to the Team

Daily Reporting/Metrics

Communicate deployment details and schedules to the Business as required

Follow a release schedule for all core deliverables and update all Project Plan documentation/tracking artifacts.

Continually work towards making improvements in the release and deployment process

Develop/use scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software to various platforms

Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyze their usage for current configuration management needs

What you have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

3-5 years of previous software deployment and its’ support a must

PC/Tablet knowledge including troubleshooting a must

System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or equivalent knowledge a must

Advanced knowledge of software development and currency lifecycle

Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion

Demonstrated effective leadership, analytical and reporting skills

Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must

Project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)

8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
