Our Opportunity:

As the retirement plan industry shifts focus to full financial wellness for participants, more plan sponsors are looking for comprehensive beyond-the-plan solutions to complement their employee retirement plan benefits programs. The objective of this role is to increase Schwab Retirement Plan Services’ focus on the full breadth of financial services across Schwab to support of our evolving client experience.

What you’ll do:

As mentioned above, the mission of this product management role is to increase RPS focus on the beyond-the-plan client experience. Although expected to evolve over time, the highest prioritized initial responsibilities are:

  • Further refining, supporting, and promoting Personal Financial Planning Services - Branch Integration

  • Partnering closely with Executive Services

  • Designing and developing approaches based on client profile

  • Coordinating RPS resources for input, validation, feasibility, and subject-matter-expertise for business development initiatives

  • Supporting branch integration efforts during and after launch (training, communications, reporting)

  • Utilize existing resources to communicate and promote offer

  • Supporting beyond plan financial solutions

  • Supporting the RPS Financial Wellness offer and its various components that cross over into the Retail space

  • Supporting additional Schwab Retail offerings to RPS clients outside of Wellness

  • HSA’s

  • Advised offers

  • Personal Financial Action Plan

  • Schwab Bank (mortgage, HELOC, checking/savings)

  • 529 Plans

  • Rollover IRAs

  • Determining key success metrics and establishing base reporting. Work with partner groups to:

  • Create better means to access data

  • Establish benchmarks and set new goals

  • Develop rollover scoring for participants

  • Lead data analysis and identify trending

  • Create tracking mechanism for RPS-originated Retail accounts; implement origin codes

  • Investigate crediting for RPS-originated accounts

  • During initial event, and during lifetime of relationship

What you have:

  • Minimum 3 years of retirement plan services client service experience or similar retirement plan industry experience

  • Minimum 3 years of retail financial services experience, either supporting product(s) and/or working directly with clients describing / positioning investment solutions

  • Project management experience a plus

  • Visionary thought leader

  • Ability to influence and negotiate their position with fellow project team members, external vendors/clients, and leadership

  • Task driven with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners

  • Strong communications skills

  • Ability to develop strategic approaches to accomplish a given task
