Our Opportunity:

In Corporate Risk Management, we provide an integrated risk management strategy that supports the delivery of predictable financial and operational performance in order to produce successful client and shareholder outcomes. We are organized around six primary functions: Bank Risk, Enterprise Risk, Information Security Risk, Market and Investment Risk, Model Risk and Operational Risk. Within each of these areas, we develop a framework for how much risk we are willing to accept as a firm and establish processes for identifying, evaluating, measuring, monitoring and reporting against that framework.

The Business Continuity (BC) team assists departments with identifying their exposure to internal and external threats, determining the impacts from business interruptions and disasters, and implementing sound strategies that provide effective prevention and recovery for the organization. In this role as a Manager, Business Continuity, you will perform and assist the team with Risk Assessments, conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) Assessments with assigned teams and develop Business Continuity testing requirements.

What you’ll do:

Primary role of the job holder involves in coordination and facilitation of Firm wide Business Continuity Testing including Crisis Management Exercises, Business Recovery Testing, technology resilience and third party resilience testing oversight. At a minimum, the job holder will:

  • Partner with BC Management to build and enhance the Firm BC testing standards are in alignment to the Policy and applicable regulatory requirements

  • Update the BC Testing standards, procedures and templates adequately capture the requirements as specified in the BC Policy

  • Develop firm wide Business Continuity testing plan on an annual basis and track completion in alignment to the calendar.

  • Develop end-to-end BC testing process and provide sufficient subject matter expertise to the Business Continuity Consultants (BCC) and team to execute BC testing

  • Coordinate, facilitate and oversee the Firm wide Business Continuity Testing

  • Review Test reports adequately capture any issues or recovery gaps identified during testing

  • Track and monitor issues identified during BC testing and validate resolution as specified in the policy and procedures

  • Document situation reports and lessons learned for actual incidents and exercises, and tracking of training

Additionally, the job holder is expected to perform routine business continuity life activities (mentioned under) as and when required:

  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis interviews to gather impact data and dependencies in order to develop Recovery Time Objectives

  • Conduct Risk Assessments to identify threats, risks perform cost benefit analysis to develop cost effective and viable mitigation measures

  • Create and update business continuity plans with the business and provide guidance on development of appropriate recovery strategies

  • Conduct Awareness and Training activities with the business

  • Develop and maintain strategies to reduce risk and close gaps identified during the risk assessment and testing process

  • Coordinate logistics and compile documentation in support of response and recovery efforts for business impacting events.

  • Assist in managing the recovery during a disaster as needed, and assist with Incident Response Responsibilities, including communications and development of communication and crisis management plans

  • Provide crisis support, including 7X24 on call rotationProvide logistical and subject matter expert support for the assessment, development, implementation and revision of business continuity and emergency preparedness programs and plans

  • Assist the BCIM Management team with all aspects of gathering data and creating action plans in response to all phases of the Internal Audit process

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of Business Continuity and experience

  • 3-5 years of Crisis Management and on call support experienced preferred

  • Knowledge and application of Business Continuity professional practices, including Risk Evaluation and Control, Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Strategies, Emergency Response and Operations, Business Continuity Plans, Awareness and training programs, Business Continuity Plan exercises, Audit and Maintenance, and Crisis Communications

  • CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or MBCP (Master Business Continuity Professional) certification preferred
